I'm a doctor, the head of Diagnostic Medicine at the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. Well, not really. I'm actually a fictional character on a TV show, and this blog is written by a fan who doesn't own the rights to me or any of the other characters. She also is not making any money off this blog, and she's pretty much penniless anyway, so all you lawyers can just find yourselves some more well-financed prey. Oh, and if you're looking to this blog for medical advice, DON'T. Maybe you should consult a real doctor instead.

hmmm... Romano, huh? Amazing recovery he made. Makes me realize how much more I like House (I'd forgotten there were other really annoying doctors on TV -- oh, oops, no -- I forgot Geiger, and worse: Kate Austin. Ick!

Stephen Maturin is one of the protagonists of Patrick O'Brian's superb Aubrey/ Maturin series. He is a physician.
What's more astonishing is that he's married to Corday. I can go along with returning from the dead, spontaneous limb regeneration--especially since Leonard Betts could do it--but married to Corday?!?!. That's a leap.
Not that I'm not happy for him.
(Although I was also happy when the helicopter smashed him.)
Well, it's only insane in that she said *yes.* I do believe he's been after her since the beginning (whenever that was).
Or was that too obvious?
I might have guessed House was an Aubrey fan. (I've read all 17 of them!).
